Eymet Photoshoot
Exploring Eymet | Chloe & Ricky’s Pre-Wedding Photoshoot
When couples choose to have a destination wedding, I always encourage them to set aside time for a pre-wedding photoshoot. It’s a chance to capture extra memories in a different setting, get comfortable in front of the camera, and make the most of the beautiful location they’ve chosen. For Chloe and Ricky, this meant an Eymet photoshoot the day before their stunning Chateau Lacanaud wedding. You can see the pictures of their Chateau Lacanaud wedding day here.
Eymet is a picturesque medieval town in the Dordogne, full of charm and character. We wandered through its narrow, winding streets, stopping to take photos against the rustic stone buildings and timber-framed facades. The soft, golden light filtering through the alleyways made for the perfect setting, romantic and relaxed.
In the town square, colourful garlands swayed gently above us, adding a playful touch to the shots. With the beautiful old buildings as a backdrop, Chloe and Ricky simply enjoyed the moment, laughing together as we captured their pre-wedding excitement.
From the heart of the town, we made our way down to the river. The peaceful water, framed by lush greenery, gave us a completely different feel for their photos—calm, intimate, and a little more secluded. Just a short walk away, we found one of Eymet’s hidden gems: a mural of a couple kissing, painted on an old wall. It was the perfect detail to include in their session, tying into the romance of their wedding weekend.
Why a Pre-Wedding Photoshoot is Worth It.
One of the best things about a pre-wedding shoot is the chance to create even more memories in the incredible location you have have chosen for your wedding. It’s a relaxed way to capture your love story in a different setting, with no time pressures or distractions. As a destination wedding photographer, I always include a pre-wedding photoshoot in my packages because I know how much couples cherish these extra moments.
