Chateau Lacanaud Wedding

A Sun-Soaked Chateau Lacanaud Wedding | Chloe & Ricky
There’s something effortlessly magical about a wedding in the French countryside. Chloe and Ricky chose Chateau Lacanaud in the heart of the Dordogne for their destination wedding, bringing their family and friends over from Singapore and around Europe for a weekend of celebration, sunshine, and heartfelt moments.
The day before the wedding, we explored the charming town of Eymet for their pre-wedding photoshoot, taking pictures with the backdrop of winding cobbled streets, old stone buildings and garlands across the town square. You can see their Eymet photoshoot here. It was the perfect way to ease into the wedding weekend, capturing the two of them together, relaxed and happy, before the big day.
The wedding day itself started with a slow morning at Chateau Lacanaud, with Chloe and her bridesmaids getting ready in the bridal suite. She wore an elegant lace robe as her bridesmaids, dressed in matching blush pink robes, sipped champagne and laughed together. Chloe’s wedding dress was an effortlessly chic design by Jenny Yoo simple, elegant, and timeless. Her bridesmaids wore soft blue-lilac gowns from Maids to Measure, each choosing a style that suited them best. Meanwhile, Ricky and his groomsmen looked sharp in classic tuxes from Edit Suits.
The ceremony took place beneath the shade of trees, offering a welcome breeze on such a warm day. The aisle was lined with stunning floral arrangements of white peonies, roses, and eucalyptus by Fabulous Things, creating the most romantic setting. In a beautiful nod to Ricky’s Indian heritage, the couple exchanged garlands, adding a meaningful touch to the ceremony. Family members gave heartfelt readings, including a teary moment as Ricky's brother read from The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse there was not a dry eye in sight!
After the ceremony, guests sipped champagne in the sunshine before settling in for a three-course meal by Lovage & Pumpernickel, served al fresco in front of the chateau. The long banquet-style tables were decorated with soft candlelight, delicate florals, and table names inspired by all the places Chloe and Ricky had traveled together—such a thoughtful, personal detail.
The evening unfolded with moving speeches, laughter, and music from Ze Funky Family, keeping the atmosphere relaxed and full of joy. As the sun dipped lower, I stole Chloe and Ricky away for golden hour portraits—a few quiet moments just for them, capturing the glow of the evening light and the happiness of the day.
As night fell, the couple shared their first dance in the chateau gardens, surrounded by twinkling lights and the cheers of their guests. With the formalities over, the party really got going, and everyone danced late into the warm night.
Every detail of the day was flawlessly planned by Perfect Day by Karen, ensuring that Chloe and Ricky’s Chateau Lacanaud wedding was as seamless as it was beautiful.
