An Intimate Wedding at Ios Club: Romance in the Heart of the Aegean
Earlier in the year I captured Amy and Nad's legal wedding ceremony in London at Marylebone Town Hall which was such a lovely sweet ceremony followed by photos in and around the iconic venue. I was so excited to travel to Ios to capture their wedding celebration with their family and friends, it was a truly magical day and an honour to capture.
When it comes to intimate destination weddings, the Greek island of Ios is a dream come true, and this couple’s celebration at the iconic Ios Club was nothing short of magical. Every moment of their day, from start to finish, was infused with love, beauty, and unforgettable views of the Aegean Sea.
The day began at the luxurious Hideout Suites, where the bride and groom prepared for their special moment. The bride’s suite was filled with natural light and the sound of the pool water. She wore a stunning soft blush gown with intricate lace details and romantic puff sleeves, designed by Enzoani and sourced from Amore brides. Amy paired her dress with Badgley Mischka shoes which added a touch of elegance, while her soft blush pink bouquet of roses, orchids, and dried flowers, crafted by Bloom De Fluer, complemented her look perfectly. The groom wore in a beige suit perfect for a Greek island wedding.
The ceremony took place at Ios Club, a venue known for its breathtaking panoramic views of the sea. The couple exchanged vows on the terrace overlooking the sea. It was a moment filled with heartfelt emotion, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed canapés and champagne. As the sun began to set, Amy and Nad went up to the rooftop for a private moment together. They exchanged personal vows, bathed in the warm glow of the sunset, sharing a beautiful emotional moment together.
As the stars began to twinkle, the celebration moved to an intimate dinner under the terrace. Guests were seated at an elegantly styled table adorned with floral centerpieces in the same soft blush pink and white tones. Touching speeches brought laughter and tears, followed by the cutting of the cake, the first dance that transitioned into the dance floor. With a DJ and a talented saxophonist, Harris Sax, setting the mood, guests danced late into the night.
