Elmore Court Wedding

Kelly & Steve's Wedding at Elmore Court

A Stylish Spring Elmore Court Wedding

Some weddings are effortlessly timeless. Kelly and Steve’s March wedding at Elmore Court was just that—classic, thoughtful, and full of beautifully personal touches that made the day feel so them. Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, Elmore Court is one of those venues that instantly makes you feel at home. A mix of heritage and modern design, it offers the kind of backdrop that’s both relaxed and refined—a dream for any couple (and their photographer). From the grand ceremony space to the light-filled Gillyflower reception room, every corner has its own charm. And in early spring, with the gardens just beginning to bloom, it was the perfect setting for Kelly and Steve’s celebration.

Kelly wore a classic A-line Essence of Australia gown—elegant and understated, paired perfectly with her bridesmaids in deep and sage green satin dresses. Steve looked sharp in his military uniform, and the moment he saw Kelly walk down the aisle was one of those pauses-in-time you don’t forget. Their ceremony, led by the brilliant Wild and Oak, was heartfelt and full of laughter—exactly what you’d hope for from two people who clearly have so much fun together. Stories from their relationship had everyone grinning, and there wasn’t a dry eye as they exchanged vows in front of a live painter, Aaron Jacob Jones, who quietly captured the moment on canvas to be revealed later in the evening. As the newlyweds walked back down the aisle, guests showered them in confetti before stepping into a beautiful guard of honour—military friends lining the path with swords raised, a nod to Steve’s service and a real highlight of the day.

Drinks flowed during a relaxed cocktail hour, with guests chatting while Duo Rose played soft violin and cello melodies in the background. A live illustrator captured portraits for guests to take home—a thoughtful touch that made the whole day feel like a creative, immersive experience. Meanwhile, Kelly and Steve snuck away to preview their reception space, styled by the talented team at Lux Weddings and Lucy Ann Events. The details were stunning: soft pink and white florals by Alexandra Sylvester, velvet green bows embroidered with guests’ names at each place setting, and a beautifully curated layout that made the Gillyflower feel intimate and inviting. We took a moment for their couple portraits around the grounds, wandering through the gardens, soaking in the spring light, and capturing quiet moments under the blooming Magnolia tree.

As the evening set in, the speeches had everyone roaring with laughter, and the food was a total hit. Guitarist Ahmed Dickinson Cardenas created a warm, joyful atmosphere before we headed outside to catch the golden hour glow for a few more portraits. Kelly changed into a sparkly evening outfit, ready to surprise everyone with a choreographed first dance—complete with lifts and spins that set the tone for the rest of the night. The band, The Rockets Collective, kept the dancefloor packed, while guests enjoyed cocktails at the bar, a drool-worthy dessert table, and a gelato stand for late-night treats.

Kelly and Steve poured so much heart into this day. Every detail felt intentional and true to them—and it all came together in the most relaxed, joyful celebration at one of the Cotswolds’ most iconic wedding venues.
