Chateau Cazenac Wedding

A Fairytale Chateau Cazenac Wedding in the Dordogne

Set in the rolling hills of the Dordogne, Chateau Cazenac provided the perfect backdrop for Lauren and Jack’s wedding weekend. With warm sunshine, elegant details, and a relaxed atmosphere, their celebration was a perfect blend of sophistication and fun.

Lauren and Jack, along with their family and friends, traveled from the UK to enjoy a long weekend in the French countryside. Their wedding wasn’t just about the big day—it was an experience. The festivities kicked off with a casual pizza party the evening before, where guests caught up over pizzas and drinks on the chateau terrace.

On the wedding day, Lauren wore a beaded lace gown by Justin Alexander, customized by Frost Wedding Collections, paired with Christian Louboutin heels and Tiffany earrings. Jack opted for a sharp navy DKNY suit from Moss Bros.

The ceremony took place under the shade of trees, creating a beautiful, intimate setting. Their friends and family shared heartfelt readings, and the flower girl even treated everyone to an impromptu rendition of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star! Lauren and Jack exchanged personal vows that had everyone laughing and tearing up in equal measure before walking back down the aisle through a shower of rose petals.

After the ceremony, guests gathered on the terrace for drinks and canapés in the afternoon sun, kicking things off with a celebratory champagne tower.

Dinner was hosted inside the chateau’s restored barn, where long tables were decorated with greenery and soft white and peach florals by Les Fleurs Coupes. In true French wedding style, the couple made their entrance to guests waving napkins in the air to the sound of Bamboleo—a fun, high-energy start to the evening.

As the evening sun began to dip, Lauren and Jack took some time away from the crowd for their couple portraits. The golden light over the chateau grounds and surrounding hills created the perfect setting for capturing quiet, intimate moments before the party got into full swing.

Later in the evening, Lauren tossed her bouquet from the chateau balcony before the couple cut their traditional Croquembouche wedding cake. Guests surrounded them with sparklers as Sky Full of Stars played—a truly unforgettable moment to round off the formalities before the dancefloor filled up for the night.

The following day, guests reunited for a relaxed pool party, enjoying the last of the sunshine and reminiscing on an unforgettable weekend. A laid-back way to wrap up the celebrations before heading home.

As a destination wedding photographer, I don’t just document the wedding day—I capture the entire experience. Whether it’s the welcome dinner, a poolside brunch, or the quiet in-between moments, I ensure every part of your celebration is preserved. If you're planning a wedding at Chateau Cazenac or anywhere in France, I’d love to help tell your story.
