Not many couples have been in love since their teens. Emme & Ben met and became a couple during their time at school. Since then, as Ben says, they've been "best friends...travelling to 29 countries together in 12 years".
This beautiful couple had chosen to have their ceremony and celebration at Slaughnam Place because of their love of history and the venue's tranquil setting. The grounds include beautiful ruins surrounded by a moat. Fortunately a cover was put over the place of their outdoor ceremony so, despite rain on the day, no one got too wet!
It was awesome to be able capture the fact that Emme & Ben are so clearly in love. The reception had a travel theme with the decorations and favours showing their love for travelling and exploring. The rain didn't dampen the mood at all; Emme & Ben had a wonderful day and we thoroughly enjoyed being able to capture it on film. Working alongside photographer Madara Kurtisa was a pleasure (we love the photos!).
After watching the film together Emme sent me this note...
"Thank you so much for our wedding video. We’ve watched it over and over (and I cry every time) - we can’t wait to show our families. You and James captured little bits of our day just perfectly and the way you’ve put them together really tells the story. Love the sound of the rain and our favourite song works so well in the middle."
